Cem Gurkan Alpay graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Law in 1990 and he started his professional career at Garanti Bank as a lawyer.

He worked as Legal Advisor at Garanti Payment Systems between 2001 and 2012 and at Garanti Bank Card Payment Systems between 2012 and 2021.

He is currently working as Executive Vice President and reponsible of Law at Garanti BBVA Payment Systems.

Cem Gurkan Alpay is married and has two children.
