Born in 1969, Alpaslan Özbey has graduated first from Beşiktaş Atatük Anatolian High School and then from Faculty of Economy in Istanbul University, and has started his job career in Price Waterhouse.

In 1995, he has been transferred as a manager to Quality Assurance Department of Citibank Turkey, and in 1996, has been promoted to Financial Control Manager position in the same bank, and between 1998 and 1999, has headed the Financial Planning and Control Department therein.

After being responsible for plastic cards, merchant relations and alternative distribution channels in Finansbank between 1999 and 2007, Özbey has worked as Fortis Turkey Consumer Finance Group Assistant General Manager between 2007 and 2010.

Since 2010, Alpaslan Özbey is continuing his job career as Assistant General Manager in charge of Finance Management in Garanti Ödeme Sistemleri A.Ş. He is married and has two children.
